Multifunctional building Enkhuizen
Multifunctional building on the Gependam
By order of Heddes Bouw Zwarts & Jansma designed a multifunctional building with nautical function for the city of Enkhuizen.
The building is situated on the head of the Gependam: Dirck China Square and will accommodate – for example – services and shops for yachters, a port office, and a sailmaker’s. Zwarts & Jansma hasdesigned a two-story building with a very flexible lay-out. There will be no constructive walls standing in the way of a lay-out that suits the users; doors may be positioned anywhere in the glass facade. This is also the case on the second floor, as a wooden gallery opens it up. The building has a rounded outline that is adjusted to the surroundings, and has a transparent look.
